Masayuki Furukawa was born and raised in Kanagawa, Japan.

Furukawa moved to London in 2009 where he works as a photographer. His focus is on the subject of portraits and landscape, and he draws inspiration from everyday life.

His images are serene and youthful. Furukawa captures colour-washed scenescapes and portraits that seem to pause time,yet with their stillness comes an equal spontaneity.

Currently Furukawa is based in Tokyo.
