Information
Ellen Von Unwerth Photography - that means eroticism with femininity. She used to work as a model herself before picking up the camera and becoming one of the most sought-after fashion photographers in the world. Her work has appeared in countless magazines, including Vogue, Interview, Vanity Fair and i-D; she has designed advertising campaigns for brands such as Victoria's Secret, Banana Republic, Guess, Diesel and Chanel. In 1991, she won first prize at the International Festival of Fashion Photography. In 2002 and 2004, her images were shown as part of the exhibitions Archaeology of Elegance and Fashioning Fiction at MoMa in Queens.
Ellen Von Unwerth is the photographer who helped supermodel Claudia Schiffer achieve her breakthrough in the early 1990s, first with an image for ELLE and later with the Guess campaign that gave them both their big break in the fashion industry.
