Information

James Meakin originated from a rural upbringing in Devon, Uk.  His love of colour, fashion and beauty is clearly evident in his photographic work.

Taking several years out after studying Engineering to travel and live in places as far afield as New York, Paris, Brazil, Munich and Cape town, he discovered in the process the fashion industry which revived an earlier passion for photography.

His skill, attention to detail and enthusiasm combine with his clearly defined aesthetic, taking great inspiration from the form and colour of the natural world, to produce beautiful, graphic and often fantasy themed images.

James is based in London and has shot main fashion for Vogue, Harpers, GQ, Tatler, Stylist, Financial Times, net-a-porter, Dansk, Exit.
