Information

Samuel François was born in 1971 in Bordeaux. After attending the Studio Berçot in Paris and several internships (Marine Sitbon, John Galliano), he started as Babeth Djian’s assistant (Mixte magazine, among others). In 1995, he became fashion editor for Numéro, and began collaborations with photographers Mario Sorrenti, Solve Sundsbo, Jean-Batiste Mondino, Nathaniel Godldberg, Mert and Marcus, Peter Lindbergh, Miles Aldridge, Sofia Sanchez & Mauro Mongiello, Elina Kechicheva, Serge Leblon, Hans Furer, among others. Aside from advertising campaigns (Sonia Rykiel, Hermès, Bulgari, Air France, Dior, Chanel) and consultings (Cacharel, Paul Smith) and freelance collaborations with foreign magazines (Elle US, Tar, Lula, Violet, Harper’s Bazaar), Samuel François is now fashion director at Numéro. Two years ago, Samuel designed and created a jewerly collection inspired by baroque art.
